WazzUp Mama for healthcare professionals
As a healthcare practitioner you can refer every pregnant woman at any stage of pregnancy to the interactive tailored WazzUp Mama tool for mums to check her own emotional wellbeing. The tool maps emotions, predisposing factors to become unbalanced, and adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies of the individual woman. The tool facilitates self-management and adaptively coping with emotional wellbeing via tips & tricks for day-to-day life. A WazzUp Mama manual and care pathway/ flowchart for healthcare professionals help in identifying, supporting and referral of women with reduced emotional wellbeing or to prevent this to happen.
The Wazzup Mama tool is currently only available in the Dutch language. However, to explore the tool in your own language, follow the steps to translate.
WazzUp Mama tools
The WazzUp Mama tool for mums includes a clinical pathway for consultation and referral, case-finding questions to be used throughout the whole antenatal care period and a scoring system indicating the level of emotional distress as experienced by the woman.
Risk factors
There are certain risk factors that make women more vulnerable for reduced emotional wellbeing during pregnancy. Knowledge about risk factors are identified through research among a pregnant population. Healthcare professionals benefit from being aware of these risk factors, allowing them to be more conscious which women might be more vulnerable to become emotionally distressed or unbalanced.
